ANSWERS:

Are you licensed?
YES! Every customer receives a Project Folder with a copy of our business license, general liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance, written lien waivers and more.

Do you carry general liability insurance?
YES! This type of insurance protects the homeowners property in case of damage caused by the contractor and/or his employees. The insurance company will pay for the cost of replacing or repairing any damage that occurs.

Do you carry workers' compensation insurance?
YES! It protects the home owner from liability if a worker is injured while on your property. This is how jackleg contractors underbid legitimate contractors. Hiring a contractor without workers' compensation insurance could cost you...everything.

Will you provide me with a written lien waiver?
YES! It would be smart to ask any contractor for a "Final Release of Lien" from each project before paying the contractor his final payment. This protects you in case the contractor doesn't pay his material suppliers or sub-contractors.

How many jobs have you completed?
Phew! It has to be thousands...tens of thousands.

Do you guarantee your work?
Absolutely. We guarantee the workmanship differently for each project. Roofing is guaranteed for ten years; guttering for two years. Siding is guaranteed for the lifetime of the owner. Getting most of our work through referrals is proof that service is priority one.

Who will be in charge of the job?
The owner is in charge overall. Each crew has a foreman that reports to him daily.

Will you provide me with written references?
YES! Every time we bid a job, we have five to seven customers who have recently had the same work done.

How do you handle the "dirty work?"
When you say "dirty work," you're referring to clean up. Again, in each job folder we have performance sheets that we ask our customers to fill out that rate just how courteous and clean our workers are...daily.

What is your track record with the BBB?
"Zero complaints." I've been a BBB member for five years. They can track back three years to when we first started, and they will not find one complaint.

How many years have you worked as a contractor?
We have been serving the public for a good 20 years.

To save money, do you recommend using off-brand materials?
NO! Not at all! I will not guarantee junk materials.

For what brands are you a certified contractor?
Owens Corning. GAF. Certainteed. Norandex/Reynolds.

What else would you tell a prospective customer?
Three things:
1) Please compare apples with apples when getting a bid. Going with the lowest bid isn't always prudent. I can't underbid a man with just a truck and a ladder. However, homeowners are always rolling the dice when hiring a jacklegger without insurance. Ken, one of my job bidding experts, can tell you about a fireman who was set to retire when a worker fell off a ladder and sued him for everything to pay for his hospital bills.
2) We now have financing available and take major credit cards.
3) There's no job too big or too small. We can either build a custom deck or power wash your existing deck.
